Sadly, Duolingo is currently focusing on spreading the website, and making more connections to the public, and incubating languages. From what I’ve heard, Stories are now OFFICIAL, and the tips for the languages (the ones explaining different things) are getting available on iOS for the Spanish and French learners. We’re still waiting for Italian and English (for Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, and French) stories, so I don’t know if it’s the right moment to make Avatars official. Still, we’ll have to wait for any news. In any case, I know it will soon be possible to have them, since it’s been too many years that we asked for them.
Even though… think of it. If the tips are coming just recently for mobile apps, then… it will probably be like, more time to wait, since those tips for mobiles have been asked MORE.
